Toning Purple

To start off with I dye my hair BRIGHT blue, consistently, which always fades to a yellow-ey green cause I'm a dirty-blonde underneath the blue. So I specifically get the toning shampoo and conditioner because I like that it makes the green my hair fades too have less yellow in it, and makes my natural hair seem more brown which matches better. Now when I first ordered and received the shampoo and conditioner the shampoo bottle cap was damaged in transit so it had leaked some of the bottle out into the bag it came in. But when I reached out to customer service they sent me a brand new shampoo at no cost within days. So since I had a partial bottle of shampoo and an unopened bottle of shampoo It has taking me longer than I originally intended to get through it. But, washing my hair every 3 days, and conditioning once a week and using about a quarter size pool of product (maybe a little less for the conditioner) it has lasted almost a full year which is TRULY impressive. I do have shoulder length curly hair but still, a little goes a long way. What I have also noticed is that my hair is softer, less prone to breakage or split ends and that it isn't so heavy that my naturally curly hair can't do what it does. It has an okay not 'all up in your face' scent that doesn't really overwhelm, it just kinda smells clean esk, not really chemically, which I appreciate. I never expected to have the product last this long and my only gripe is that the conditioner is so thick it doesn't come out of the bottle very easily so I adapted by just unscrewing the cap instead, and the shampoo is VERY liquid-y so it comes out VERY easily so its important to not mix them up in the shower if you don't want way more or less product than you expected. Overall I'm a convert, I had been looking for a color safe shampoo and conditioner that didn't fry my hair or mess with my curls and I feel like this does that. Will be buying more next month since I'm finally about to run out of conditioner. I love it. The color and quality are great.

The combination of both shampoo and conditioner helped to tone down the brassiness from a hair serum product I am using. It's very dark purple out of the bottle, so the first time I left it on the minimal amount of time. Subsequent shampoos I left it on the maximum time and achieved the result I needed. The only improvement is that I wish the conditioner would have been more moisturizing.

I've tried 4 other purple shampoos in the past. They did tone down the brassiness, but I was disappointed with the end result, more of a gray than the sparkling white I had hoped for. More frequent use resulted in purplish hair and a dry, straw-like texture. After a recent visit to a salon, I decided to try purple shampoo again. Etaderm was among the top products reviewed; I did not purchase the conditioner, just the shampoo. This product left my hair feeling normal, with a reasonable resolution of brassiness left in for 3 minutes. My only comment ( not really a complaint, but a reproducible observation) is that I feel I need to wash my hair more frequently with Etaderm.
